The foundation of AMIDOWN is the knowledge and many years of experience of our founder, Dawid Mielczarski, who has developed his own approach and quality standards for working with natural down and feathers.

RDS – Responsible Down Standard
An internationally recognised certification that verifies the responsible sourcing of down and feathers. Developed in collaboration with independent animal welfare organisations, the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) ensures that down and feathers come from farms that meet strict animal welfare requirements.
AMIDOWN has held the official RDS licence CB-CUC-893743 since 2021.
IDFB – International Down and Feather Bureau
The International Down and Feather Bureau (IDFB) is the world’s leading industry association representing manufacturers, processors and suppliers of down and feathers.
AMIDOWN has been an official member of the IDFB since 2025.
International Down and Feather Laboratory & Institute
IDFL is one of the world’s leading independent laboratories specialising in the testing and certification of down, feathers and filled products.
Our in-house laboratory operates in accordance with their procedures and testing methodologies. Our quality control team has received IDFL training and certification to ensure we maintain the highest standards.
OEKO-TEX® Standard 100
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is one of the world’s most recognised independent certifications for textile safety.
It confirms that every component of a finished product has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for human use.
